Bertrand A. Gargoyle

Honorary Scholar
BPhil
Magdalen College

Currently studying Oxford

I came up to Oxford several centuries ago, having been unearthed in the nearby Cotswolds region. I have learned a great deal by watching Rhodes Scholars as they enter Oxford for the first time over Magdalen Bridge. Inevitably I am greeted by a look of confusion as the unsuspecting individual stares up at my face and observes my fixed, quizzical expression. Sadly, none realise that I mean nothing by it, and am merely contemplating and marvelling over Russell's Paradox.

I wish you all the best when you come up to Oxford, and further hope that you will occasionally take the time to stare back up at me and my fellow gargoyles (who, incidentally, are all contained in a set which contains me but not itself).

(A word of warning: I am notoriously slow at answering emails.)
